About Me
- Sharon Benini
- My teaching career began 17 years ago when I decided I would finally become "What I wanted to be when I was grown-up", a teacher. At that time I had worked for 15 years in the banking and financial industry and was even a stockbroker at one time. I returned to college and graduated with a Masters of Elementary Education from Wilmington University. I became certified to teach art and currently I teach grades PK-8. Art is my passion and I love what I do!
Life Book 2012
Life Book has begun! The group of artists is over 700, so there is a great deal of buzz going on! The first lesson from Tam was to create a Goddess in a super hero style (hence the cape). I worked for several days squeezing in as much time as I could before vacation was over. This is where I ended today. The face gave me a great deal of trouble with its color. She ended up getting a watercolor "facial" as I literally scrubbed her face with water over and over. She did get better, but of course the paper got a bit roughed up. Well, she will have a bit of a rest until I can get back to the art studio on Saturday.
Wearing her Super Girl cape, she shows her Positive Powers. For this piece I used Golden acrylics, Neocolor watersoluble crayons, Brilliance ink, gold pen, silver pen, glitter glue, alphabet stickers, paper charms, glitter, and stamp by Green Pepper press.
